Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr. Lyan, is now bringing his signature cocktail recipes to his first-ever U.S. location.  Now open at the chic, new Riggs hotel in Washington D.C., Silver Lyan is the must-sip spot for D.C.'s young powerati. Building on the reputation of his White Lyan in London, the first cocktail bar ever to use no perishable ingredients - no fruit, not even ice, his innovative approach to cocktail recipes and sustainability will now be present Stateside at this new location.

Leveraging Dandelyan's (now Lyaness) reputation as the best bar in the world by the 50 Best Bars list, Mr. Lyan will offer those traveling to and/or based in D.C. a fabulous, chic addition to the scene. The warm, wood-paneled space features plush interiors and marble accents and has been gaining buzz for months. Indeed,  one room is lined by an old-school trophy case and is situated in the former vault space of the historic bank-turned-hotel.

However, the most important feature of Silver Lyan is its cocktail menu. Separated into four sections - Cultural Exchange, American Craft, Flights of Fancy, and Kinda Classics - the selection does not disappoint. There's a fruit jello shot flight (which comes with four shots of Champagne) and the $375 Presidential Gift, made with "Very Old Highland Aberfeldy Scotch," applejacked bitters, a gold cherry, and honey gifted from a beekeeper at the Congressional cemetery - among other equally as thought-provoking, drink options.

Whether traveling to the area or a local, Mr. Lyan is definitely one of the new hot spots in a city that's becoming fascinatingly more chic by the month. For more information, please visit: https://mrlyan.com/
