Inside The Charging Port Battle

Looks like Apple may have to go back to the proverbial drawing board on this one. European Union lawmakers have created a decree that all future smartphones sold in the E.U. will have to be equipped with a USB-C port for charging. This means that Apple's lightning port days are numbered, or are they? There still seems to be a bit of wiggle room due to the actual wording of the legislation.  That's the headline.
