Edgy Luxury Comes To Los Angeles Via The Jeremy
West Hollywood’s latest hip addition to the hotel scene is The Jeremy.
Located at the power hub of La Cienega and Sunset Boulevards, The Jeremy is a brand new offering that is unique in that it offers a rare expanse complete with artful custom brass tube lighting that almost reminiscent of that of a modern museum vibe but somehow is still quite welcoming. The ten-story building is that of a Scandinavian-influenced minimalism with very clean and contemporary lines. An enchanting fragrance of citrus and eucalyptus greets each guest upon entry where a well-trained staff is at-the-ready. From the multi-section living room-style seating areas that comprise a relaxed yet sophisticated lobby to the welcoming rooms, the tastefully-designed neutrals are calming and very inviting. Such touches as the lower ighting in the 286 guest rooms and plush Boca Terry robes and slippers, along with the custom upholstered headboard featuring panels of hand-dyed hemp and linens, enhance the guest experience.

The property consists of two towers one of which includes a substantial gym and pool area with Instagram-worthy views of downtown Los Angeles and beyond. The pool-area café, along with that of the lobby have a variety of solid, organic snack offerings, juices and espresso. The lobby bar is awash in large, leafy banana plants that are reminiscent of that of an island offering mixed with the sophistication of seemingly endless curved seating.
The luxury of efficient use of time is beautifully exhibited at this hotel in that The Jeremy takes texting to a new level. After check-in, guests receive a welcome text and are invited to communicate regarding any needs and questions via that route. The response is lightning fast, complete, efficient and particularly fitting for the faster-pace of today that shuns the often-times annoying delay of the tag-line welcome and employee name with each call to the front desk. From a blanket to a wake-up call to a microwave, response is fast and professional via text.

But the real stand-out at this hotel is the customer service. A primarily very young staff is the outward face of The Jeremy, and they have everything under control. They are friendly in a pleasant way without being stiff and, for the most part, are extremely well-informed about any and all needs a guest may have – a rare combination in today’s hospitality world. The door people (yes, both guys and girls) are a nice added touch as well as practical, particularly because one can either enter the main tower from the street level or, as an added bonus in all things discreet, via the lower level on the other side of the hotel which is accessible via a ramp. A nice touch for Hollywood VIPs.
And added bonus? This hotel is also pet-friendly!
Rooms start at $350 per night. For more information: www.jeremyhotel.com
