Watch For This Chic Hotel Opening Despite The Travel Pause

Still slated to debut this summer (despite the unknowne future of beach openings), The Rockaway Hotel will provide chic, year-round accommodations for travelers to this area of New York, perhaps prompting more visits to the mostly locals-only area. Nevertheless, owners hope to keep the spirit of the neighborhood alive. This will take place in many cool ways including showcasing of local artists, designers, and filmmakers through rotating exhibits, events, and programming.

In addition to the 53 guest rooms, eight extended-stay suites, and two on-site restaurants, the hotel will boast a rooftop pool and bar with ocean views helmed by IGC Hospitality, known for venues such as Refinery Rooftop, Parker & Quinn, Park Avenue Tavern, and Rockaway’s own Bungalow Bar. While we still don't know how this will fit into the staggered re-opening of New York, we will definitely be tracking this and looking forward to chill times on the roof with the cocktail du jour!
