This Magical Outdoor Dining Options Scores For The Holidays
Even though the pandemic seems to be on a second swing up, there are still safe ways that you get into the holiday vibe. While you might think it's wrap for any cool, outdoor yuletide spirits on most of the east coast during this winter season, fear not. We've found an option for you on Shelter Island, New York.
Cozy up in one of The Ram’s Head Inn’s seaside heated igloos and escape the stress of the world even if it's only for a few hours! The private igloos are aglow with twinkling lights and comfy seating that will take you away the moment you and yours sit down. Completely private and heated, these igloos get even better. Imagine giving back while using them? To add much-needed support during this trying time to the beauty they represent, three of the Ram’s Head Inn's dining igloos have been transformed on behalf of local charities
Choose, the "Holly Holiday" themed igloo, decorated by Kim Jon Designs and sponsored by East End Taste to benefit KiDS NEED MoRE, a Long Island based charity supporting children and their families affected by cancer and life-threatening illnesses.
You might instead reserve the "Tinsel Time" igloo which benefits the Shelter Island Action Alliance, a local charity supporting Shelter Island businesses, families, and frontline workers. One Smart Kitty and Starlet PR designed the igloo to keep diners feeling festive and cozy throughout the holiday season, using ornaments and decorations from island businesses to light up the experience.
And finally, "Festive Fir," which benefits Feeding America, a national charity benefiting local food banks is decorated by the Ram's Head Inn in traditional holiday trimmings.
Each igloo can seat eight people at a time for up to 2 hours and requires a 4 person minimum to reserve. There is no reservation fee, instead, the Ram's Head Inn requests those who would like to book an igloo to make a minimum donation of $50 to one of the benefiting charities.
